The History of Etnia Barcelona Brand Name Glasses and Sunglasses

In the 1950s, Fulgencio Ramo (the grandfather of David Pellicer, current owner of Etnia Barcelona) created his first eyewear factory.

His children helped him in the factory and quickly absorbed the business knowledge.

His kids designed, created and distributed the brand name frames throughout Spain.

And in the 1990s, David Pellicer joined the company with the dream of creating something new.

In 2011, David infused colour into the frames of eyeglasses and sunglasses. Before that time, the frames were only black or brown—can you believe it!?

Barcelona plays an essential role in its history since that’s where the company was born and was able to grow to where it is today. Etnia Barcelona is a brand that always looks forward without forgetting where it came from, which is so admirable.
