🥹Excessive Tearing: Paradoxically, some people with dry eyes may experience excessive tearing or watery eyes. This occurs because the eye's surface is not adequately lubricated, causing irritation. In response, the eye may produce reflex tears as a protective mechanism.⁠

👎Redness and Irritation: Dry eye can lead to redness and irritation of the eyes. You may notice that your eyes appear bloodshot or inflamed. This can be accompanied by a burning or stinging sensation, particularly in windy or dry environments.⁠

There are many more symptoms too, so be sure to bring any concerns about dry eye to your optometrist as soon as possible.⁠
